Global Drinks Giant selects AIS Ltd to Design Verification System

After a lengthy tendering process the industry leader chose AIS Ltd to design, install and maintain their critical verification system

AIS ltd have been chosen by one of the world's largest drinks manufacturers to ensure every product is validated and verified before leaving the plant.

Factors in our favour included:

• Extensive experience designing similar systems across many manufacturing sectors
• Our highly trained staff
• Our strong relationship with the world's leading product manufactures such as Datalogic and Zebra technologies

Our solution ran as follows:

• The AIS team designed tracking labels for each product carton, each with a unique bar code identifier which is scanned before that carton enters the picking station.

• As each uniquely labelled carton enters a 'pick station', a fixed mount bar code scanner automatically reads the unique code - which is transferred to the local industrial touch screen PC.

• A pre-assigned pick list for this carton then appears on the screen to prompt the operator.

• The operator then picks each bar coded product from the feed tray, scans the product bar code (using the locally mounted presentation scanner) and drops the product in to the carton.

• As each product is picked and scanned the local PC screen indicates this is correct and complete.

• Once complete, the AIS software indicates to the operator that the picked products were correct and that the full quantity is reached.

• The system then automatically triggers the box to move on the next pick station. A full transaction history is maintained on the server.
